Job Description

Under the supervision of the Williamson County Director of Crisis Services, the QMHP is a member of the Williamson County Crisis Team. This position will provide a combination of authority functions within the community, the Crisis Residential Unit (CRU), and the Extended Observation Unit (EOU), to include crisis intervention and short-term low to moderate level stabilization of identified needs. The QMHP assists in providing case management, individual and group skills training and/or psychosocial interventions, and supported housing and employment aid in addition to the completing intake protocols, development of treatment plans and discharge planning in an environment that is designed to provide a safe and secure environment for short-term stabilization. This position will be able to partner with law enforcement, the medical community, schools, families, and social services agencies in a collaborative effort to assist persons in crisis. The individual must possess strong knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques and practices of working with individuals experiencing a behavioral health, substance use, IDD, or co-occurring needs crisis, and have the ability to communicate effectively with diverse cultures and socio-economic populations. Must have skills and experience using integrated computer database programs to access files and document treatment services and the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments. This position requires a flexible work day and person able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Position will need to work a variable schedule that may include weekend and evening shifts.
