Under the supervision of the Director of Crisis Services and/or MCOT Team Leader, this position will provide a combination of authority functions to include crisis intervention and follow up services, relapse and prevention and screening and referrals to community resources and providers. This position will provide services in both the office and community setting and be able to partner with law enforcement, the medical community, schools, families, and social services agencies in a collaborative effort to assist persons in crisis. This position requires a flexible work day and person able to work both independently and collaboratively.
The individual must possess strong knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques and practices of working with individuals experiencing a behavioral health, substance use, IDD, or co-occurring needs crisis, and have the ability to communicate effectively with diverse cultures and socio-economic populations. Must have skills and experience using integrated computer database programs to access files and document treatment services and the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments. This position requires a flexible workday including on-call shifts and an individual who is able to work both independently and collaboratively.
In addition, this position is responsible for providing routine assessments and skills training for individuals with mental illness, completing documentation of services as well as assisting individuals with accessing other community resources. This position should provide training in those skills that primarily focus on furthering an individual’s independent living and community skills. This training should promote community integration and the individual’s quality of life.
This position requires a flexible workday including on-call shifts and an individual who is able to work both independently and collaboratively.
|Credentials||Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in the field of human services. QMHP-CS qualification. Minimum of two years case management experience. Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License.|
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree, Licensed or intern LPC or LMSW. Billingual
