The LVN provides support for psychiatric services under the medical supervision of the RN and Director of Nursing. The LVN reports directly to the Center Director for daily work. Along with providing clinical support for prescribers, the position is responsible for obtaining vital signs (i.e. pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height, BMI), recording information in the electronic medical record, obtaining prior & discharge records as well as other significant authorizations to disclose, checking medication in and out of the Medication Room, staging medication consents and obtaining timely medication authorizations to ensure no lapse in prescriptions. The position is also responsible for adhering to contractual requirements and agency guidelines.
|Credentials||Minimum Qualifications: Licensed Vocational Nurse. At least three-year experience providing behavioral health services in an outpatient setting. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License.|
Preferred Qualifications: Five years of experience. At least two years of experience providing behavioral health services in an outpatient setting. Bilingual in Spanish and/or ASL.
