(1214) Case Manager, Crisis

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Williamson County Director of Crisis Services, the Crisis Case Manager is a member of the Williamson County Crisis Team and provides crisis services in Williamson County and Burnet County. This position will provide a combination of authority functions within the Crisis Respite Unit (CRU) and Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT), to include crisis intervention and short-term low to moderate level stabilization of identified needs. The Case Manager assists in providing crisis assessment, case management, individual and group skills training and/or psychosocial interventions, and supported housing and employment aid in addition to completing intake protocols, development of treatment plans and discharge planning in an environment that is designed to provide a safe an secure environment for short-term stabilization. This position will be able to partner with law enforcement, the medical community, schools, families, and social service agencies in a collaborative effort to assist persons in crisis. The individual must possess strong knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques and practices of working with individuals experiencing a behavioral health, substance use, IDD, or co-occurring needs crisis, and must have the ability to communicate effectively with diverse cultures and socio-economic populations. Must have skills and experience using integrated computer database programs to access files and document treatment services, as well as the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments. This position requires a flexible work-day and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

This position includes rotating on-call responsibility.

CredentialsMinimum Qualifications: QMHP-CS qualification. Minimum of two years case management experience. Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License.
