This position is responsible for providing routine assessments and skills training for individuals with mental illness, completing documentation of services, assisting individuals with accessing other community resources as well as some crisis intervention. This position should provide training in those skills that primarily focus on furthering an individual’s independent living and community skills. This training should promote community integration and the individual’s quality of life.
|Credentials||Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a social, behavioral, or human service field. Knowledge of mental illness as defined in the DSM-V services to promote wellness and recovery to individuals with mental illness is required. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License.|
Preferred Qualifications: One year of experience in providing person centered wellness and recovery support services in mental health, substance abuse and/or crisis intervention and screening preferred; Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work or a related human services field preferred.
