This position, employed by Bluebonnet Trails Community Services, performs primary care duties in a school-based setting under the supervision of an off-site delegating physician. These medical services will take place in the Family Health Center located at Hutto High School and at Bluebonnet Trails Community Services Round Rock location. Services are provided to the Hutto ISD and Bluebonnet Trails’ communities. This position is responsible for the care and treatment of clients in accordance with accepted professional, legal and ethical nursing standards. Primary responsibilities include basic primary care, wellness checks, immunizations, medication prescription, monitoring and administration, assessments, laboratory collections and interpretation of results, client and family education regarding medications and monthly educational lectures for staff. Must have the ability to document in an electronic medical record, and may possibly provide services via telemedicine and to other locations operated by the FQHC and/or Bluebonnet Trails.
|Credentials||Minimum Qualifications: Certification as Family Nurse Practitioner, with unrestricted licensure as an Advanced Family Nurse Practitioner. Unrestricted eligibility to participate in provider network for Medicare/Medicaid/other third party payers. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License.|
Preferred Qualifications: APN with 3 years of experience in a family practice setting. Bilingual
