Under the supervision of the Center Director and Crisis Supervisor this position will provide a combination of authority functions to include crisis intervention and follow up services, relapse and prevention and screening and referrals to community resources and providers. This position will provide services in both the office and community setting and be able to partner with law enforcement, the medical community, schools, families, and social services agencies in a collaborative effort to assist persons in crisis. This position requires a flexible workday and person able to work both independently and collaboratively.
|Credentials||Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a social, behavioral, or human service field. Knowledge of mental illness as defined in the DSM-IV is required. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License, meet Bluebonnet Trails Community Services driving requirements, and maintain approved driving status throughout employment|
Preferred Qualifications: One year of experience in mental health assessment and/or crisis intervention and screening; Master’s degree in psychology, social work or a related human service field. Bilingual preferred- Spanish
