This position provides mental health, developmental, and educational services to children, adolescents, adults and families through needs assessments, intake assessments, development of service plans, case management, direct therapy services in group and individual formats (if employee is in clinical supervision), and skills training. The BHS will provide therapeutic skills training services face-to-face and via tele-video. Exemplary communication skills are necessary in order to interface with individuals served, collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, accurately document service provision, and work with community partners as part of linking families to other needed resources. This position is one discipline of a multidisciplinary team and may be the primary service provider for a given client or family. Services may be provided in multiple clinic settings, and may also be provided in the field, as needed.
|Credentials||Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in human services field with experience working with individuals with mental health needs. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Valid driver’s license in good standing required. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License.|
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in social services field strongly preferred. Participation in or eligibility for clinical supervision towards advanced licensure as an LCSW, LPC or LMFT preferred. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Clinical experience providing counseling to children, adolescents, adults and families. Experience working with adults, children and youth living with severe mental illness preferred.
