Under the supervision of the Center Director and or RN, this position is responsible for providing medication education and other health-related education to assist consumers with maintaining stability in the community. Other nursing duties may include lab work and monitoring of pharmacy and other medication programs. Will provide medication reviews to assist with reviewing consumer status. Under the supervision of the RN and the Director of Nursing, the LVN may perform nursing duties in a 10 bed respite facility or outpatient clinic. The position is responsible for assisting in the care and treatment of individuals with developmental disability, mental illness and medical needs. The LVN reports directly to the Center Director for daily work. Responsibilities include medication monitoring and administration, collection of vital signs, focused assessments, provision of medical treatments, recording information in the electronic medical record, and communication with all treatment team members on behalf of the individual. The position is also responsible for adhering to contractual requirements and agency guidelines.
This position is an “as needed” position.
|Credentials||Minimum Qualifications: Licensed to practice as a licensed vocational nurse. Experience working within an outpatient psychiatric setting. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License.|
