This position provides mental health, developmental, and educational services to children, adolescents, adults and families through diagnostic and psychosocial assessments, development of recovery plans, direct individual therapy services in both English and Spanish, with a focus on Spanish-speaking clients. The Behavioral Health Counselor/LPHA will provide services via tele-video and may provide some services face-to-face. Other services include consultation with staff and providing reflective supervision as needed in small groups or individually.
Exemplary communication skills are necessary in order to communicate with individuals served and to accurately document service provision. This position is one discipline of a multidisciplinary team and may be the primary service provider for a given client or family or may serve in a consultant role.
In addition to direct service, the person in this role may be asked to supervise other providers, engage in program development or develop special projects.
|Credentials||Minimum Qualifications: Bilingual in Spanish and English is REQUIRED. Clinical licensure is required (LCSW, LPC or LMFT) prior to hire date. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Clinical experience providing counseling to children, adolescents, adults and families. Valid Texas driver’s license in good standing required. |
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with tele-video services is preferred. LCSW clinical licensure preferred.
