This position is responsible for primarily providing inpatient psychiatrist services as contracted by Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute (GBHI) and in collaboration with Bluebonnet Trails Community Services (BTCS). This position is responsible for the delivery of professional and competent services to adults, adolescents, and/or children (depending upon preference and qualification) in the areas of psychiatric evaluation, medication management, treatment planning, and inpatient management in the context of a person-centered recovery plan. Duties may include providing services to patients admitted to the BTCS Extended Observation Unit as assigned, partial hospital programs as developed, and other transitional outpatient services as developed in the collaboration between BTCS and GBHI. Services may be delivered by telemedicine as developed by the programs. Must be able to document services using an electronic medical record as selected by the clinic site. The Position is responsible for ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, billing code requirements, and will complete records in a timely manner using the designated medical record system. The position works alongside the treatment team including, but not limited to, RN, licensed professional, case manager and techs in delivering quality clinical care for individuals admitted to services. Hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday.
|Credentials||Minimum Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine or Osteopath. By hire date: Certification of completion of residency in psychiatry; Current, active license to practice medicine in Texas as issued by the Texas Medical Board; Current, active Controlled Substance Registration Certificate issued by the U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration; unrestricted eligibility to participate in provider network for Medicare/Medicaid/other third party payers. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License.|
