This position will deliver case management, psychosocial rehab, Intake and crisis services to persons with severe and persistent mental illness, as defined by the state authority. Training in skills that primarily focus on furthering an individual’s independent living, symptom awareness and management, community integration and improving the wellness and overall quality of life are essential to this position. This position requires an aptitude for working with individuals who have severe mental illness, knowledge and skills in assessment, differential diagnosis and treatment planning. This position also requires knowledge of psychotherapeutic medications and treatments. This position requires the ability to collaborate and work within an interdisciplinary team, providing and accepting feedback to/from physicians, nurses, clinical supervisors and other members within the therapeutic milieu. This position requires interaction primarily with individuals in their community, as well as, within Bluebonnet Trails Community Services’ clinics.
|Credentials||Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in human services field; comprehensive knowledge of mental health diagnoses as defined in the DSM-5; one-year work or practicum/clinical experience in the mental health or psychiatric field (preferably mental health assessment/treatment and/or crisis intervention and screening); ability to work as a member of a team within a fast-paced, treatment setting is essential to this position. Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and maintain approved drivers status throughout employment.|
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree and/or clinical license in psychology, education, social work or a related human service field; one year work or practicum/clinical experience in intensive case management and/or psychosocial rehabilitative services; bilingual/Spanish-speaking; experience in providing concurrent documentation within an electronic medical record preferred.
