Under the supervision of the Director of Crisis Services, the QMHP is a member of the Burnet and Williamson County Crisis Teams. This position will provide a combination of authority functions to include crisis intervention and follow up services, relapse and prevention and screening and referrals to community resources and providers. The QMHP assists in providing case management, individual and group skills training and/or psychosocial interventions, and supported housing and employment aid in addition to the completing intake protocols, development of treatment plans and discharge planning. This position will be able to partner with law enforcement, the medical community, schools, families, and social services agencies in a collaborative effort to assist persons in crisis. The individual must possess strong knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques and practices of working with individuals experiencing a behavioral health, substance use, IDD, or co-occurring needs crisis, and have the ability to communicate effectively with diverse cultures and socio-economic populations. Must have skills and experience using integrated computer database programs to access files and document treatment services and the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments. This position requires a flexible workday and person able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Position will need to work a variable schedule that will include on call shifts.
