Under the supervision of the Director of Crisis Services, the Licensed Professional of the Healing Arts (LPHA) is a member of the Crisis and Substance Use disorder Team at the San Gabriel Crisis Center in Williamson County. This includes services provided to both the Ambulatory and Residential Detoxification programs. The LPHA performs face to face substance use, mental health, developmental, and educational services to individuals across the lifespan through diagnostic and psychosocial assessments, development of recovery plans, direct individual therapy services, crisis assessment and skills training as well as group services. This Counselor may provide services face-to-face in homes, in the community, or via tele-video as needed. Other services include consultation with crisis staff and providing reflective mentorship as needed in small groups or individually.
Exemplary communication skills are necessary in order to communicate with individuals served, accurately document service provision, and work with community/agency partners. This position is one discipline of a multidisciplinary team and will be working closely with individuals they serve and as a consultant to other staff. In addition to direct service, the person in this role may be asked to supervise other providers, engage in program development or develop special projects.
|Credentials||Minimum Qualifications: Clinical licensure is required (LCSW, LPC or LMFT). Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Valid driver’s license in good standing required. Must have two years of substance use treatment experience.|
Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual in Spanish preferred. At least one year of experience working with individuals experiencing substance use detoxification.
