Under the supervision of the Director of IDD Crisis Services (South), the Crisis Respite QMHP will provide services to persons with IDD, mental illness, substance use or any co-occurring disorders who are in the Crisis Respite Home. The Crisis Respite QMHP will provide case management to include crisis intervention and follow up services, relapse and crisis prevention services, screening and referrals to community resources and providers, individual and group skills training and psychosocial interventions. In addition, the Crisis Respite QMHP will complete intake protocols; person centered recovery plans, and discharge planning in an environment that provides a safe and secure short-term stabilization of crisis symptoms.
Must have skills and experience using integrated computer database programs to access files and document treatment services and the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments. This position requires a variable schedule with evening and weekend hours and a person who is able to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
The Crisis Respite QMHP is responsible for documentation of all interactions with individuals within the 24-hour time-frame, to include progress notes, admission and discharge notifications, individual or group sessions and any other required documentation. Will have after hours/weekend/holiday on-call duties shared with unit staff.
|Credentials||Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services Field. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License.|
Preferred Qualifications: One year of experience in mental health assessment and/or crisis intervention and screening; Experience with IDD and Behavioral Health Populations. Degree in psychology, social work, counseling or a related human services field.
