This exciting position will assist in examination and treatment of adults, children, adolescents in an integrated healthcare clinic under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and the Center Director. The responsibilities of the LVN consists of interviews with clients, measuring vital signs, records information in electronic medical record, obtains prior & discharge records as well as other significant authorizations to disclosure, stages medication consents and obtains timely medication authorizations to ensure no lapse in prescriptions. The LVN provides pertinent informational overview to provider and prioritizes services for the individual during their time at the clinic depending on the person’s needs. The LVN will collect specimens for urine drug screen, pregnancy testing, genetic swabs, perform EKG’s, venipuncture and will complete injections as ordered through the Provider
The LVN will possesses knowledge and skills that promote person-centered care, including ability to contribute to efficient clinic flow to reduce wait time for individuals in services. This position requires an aptitude for working with individuals within an integrated health care setting and knowledge of medications to treat primary health concerns as well as psychotherapeutic medications. This position also requires the ability to collaborate and work within teams, providing feedback to physicians, nurses, supervisors and other members of the recovery team. This position may be cross-trained to assist with clerical, financial and other office duties as needed.
|Credentials||Minimum Qualifications: Requires a high school diploma, licensed vocational nurse license by the state of Texas and 2 years of primary care experience. The ability to work within a fast-paced treatment setting.|
Preferred Qualifications: 4 or more years of experience working within a primary health setting or behavioral health medical office setting.
