Under the direction of the Director of Nursing and the Director of Integrated Health Care and School-Based Services, this LVN provides support for psychiatric and primary care services in an outpatient clinic based on the Jarrell ISD campus, and in Taylor. The LVN should possess a positive attitude, a caring spirit and be able to work within a multidisciplinary team. This position supports the prescribing Physicians and NP’s, is responsible for obtaining vital signs, weight, height, BMI, recording information in the electronic medical record, and staging medication consents and obtaining medication authorizations to ensure no lapse in prescriptions. This position will also provide education on nutrition, medications, diagnosis and other health related concerns, giving injections, performing venipuncture, administering urine drug screens, pregnancy tests and performing genetic testing swabs along with other primary care point of care testing procedures. This LVN will assist the NP or Physician with all in clinic medical procedures. The position is responsible for adhering to agency policies and procedures.
