(65) Director of Contracts

Job Description

The Director of Contract Management will create, approve and monitor written contracts for client services. The Contract Manager will assure all applicable language in the contract meets the criteria provided by the Texas Council and that fees comply with the Bluebonnet Trails fee schedule and review contract compliance periodically to assure licenses and insurance are current. The Director of Contract Management will assure all contracts have been signed and will maintain the original copy. This position will also coordinate and maintain the TXDot Grant.

• Manages various provider and administrative aspects of contracting including information gathering, negotiation, implementation and performance reporting. Creates, approves, and monitors written contracts including auditing contractor files monthly for current documentation: insurance (professional, general, home, auto), CPR/FA, and other required training. This includes performing the initial and annual background check on providers.
• Establishes and maintains relationship with contracted providers to ensure positive relations.
• Works closely with senior and executive management to pursue amendments or clarifications for contracts.
• Will assure all contracts have been signed and will maintain the original copy. Establish and maintain master files on all contracts held by the Center, including all required documentation of licensure, proof of insurance, etc.
• Coordinates the TXDot Grant, which includes the application, tracking and facilitating reviews.
• Oversees and maintains our electronic database of contracts through the use of Contract Logix.
• Contributes to a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Coordinate center-wide procurement activities, particularly for items requiring bids or board action.
• Oversee a provider relations process to provide support and resources necessary to maintain the provider network, including providing information, assistance, and problem resolution. Coordinate any provider complaints and grievances with appropriate Center staff when necessary.
• Reports to work in a dependable manner, regularly and on time. Requests scheduled leave in advance. Does not evidence excessive use of unscheduled leave. Requests advanced approval of use of overtime.

CredentialsMinimum Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major appropriate to the requirements of the position. Plus two (2+) years of contracting or provider relations experience in a healthcare, or administration of a program related to the duties of the position. Must be able to meet Bluebonnet Trails’ driving requirements and maintain approved driving status throughout employment.

Experience working with Governmental departments.

Salary Amount$56,000 - $60,000/year
