Under the supervision of the Director of Crisis Services and/or MCOT Team Leader, this position will provide a combination of authority functions to include crisis intervention and follow up services, relapse and prevention and screening and referrals to community resources and providers. This position will provide services in both the office and community setting and be able to collaborate with law enforcement, the medical community, schools, families, and social services agencies in a collaborative effort to assist persons in crisis. This position requires a flexible workday and person able to work both independently and collaboratively.
In addition, this position will be responsible for completing crisis screenings for individuals presenting in a mental health crisis that is potentially substance related as part of the TTOR (Texas Targeted Opioid Response) guidelines. This position will also be responsible for being available to the MCOT team for staffing substance use related crisis and providing feedback for crisis screening dispositions.
The individual must possess strong knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques and practices of working with individuals experiencing a behavioral health, substance use, IDD, or co-occurring needs crisis, and have the ability to communicate effectively with diverse cultures and socio-economic populations. Must have skills and experience using integrated computer database programs to access files and document treatment services and the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments. This position requires a flexible workday including on-call shifts and an individual who is able to work both independently and collaboratively.

|Credentials||Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in the field of human services. LCDC-I in the final stages of obtaining LCDC licensure. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License.|
Preferred Qualifications: LCDC, Master’s Degree, Licensed or intern LPC or LMSW. Experience working with individuals experiencing substance use needs.
