This position performs responsible professional nursing work or professional administrative nursing work in assigned locations. This position is also responsible for the care and treatment of clients in accordance with accepted professional, legal and ethical nursing standards. Primary responsibilities include medication monitoring and administration, client assessments, laboratory collections and interpretation of results, client and family education regarding medications, mental illness and mental health. The position requires data entry into an electronic medical record.
The individual must possess strong knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques and practices of working with individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis and have the ability to communicate effectively with diverse cultures and socio-economic populations. Must have skills and experience using integrated computer database programs to access files and document treatment services and the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments. This position requires a flexible workday and person able to work both independently and collaboratively.
|Credentials||Minimum Qualifications: RN licensure with at least 3 years’ experience as a practicing RN. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License.|
Preferred Qualifications: Psychiatric Certification and practice experience with 2 years in a psychiatric setting.
