Job Description | Under the direction of the Bluebonnet Trails Community Services (BTCS) Director of Care Coordination, the Child Welfare Court Care Coordinator will work with families, the Williamson County Attorney’s Office, judges, attorneys, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Child Protective Services (CPS) case workers in association with the Department of Family Protective Services (DFPS)and other involved agencies or community stakeholders to assist in coordinating court-ordered treatment and updating the status of the youth and family involvement with services and requirements of the court. This position completes the following activities to support the judiciary process in CPS cases:
The Child Welfare Court Care Coordinator provides culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and person-centered support to families. This position works within and promotes an integrated holistic model for healthcare at BTCS, which is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic. This position necessitates innovative thinking, patience, resiliency, skills in advocacy, service coordination, and collaborative planning to support the orders of the court. This position effectively works independently and on a team; manages the needs and supports of the youth and family; and coordinates efforts of the County Attorney’s office, judges, CASA, and DFPS. Thus, this position must maintain a good working relationship with judges, court personnel, attorneys, DFPS, CPS case workers, and other community service organizations. This position works 40 hours Monday through Friday but will have a flexible schedule to accommodate evening hours for court hearings with the approval from the Director of Care Coordination. Location: Williamson County Justice Center (M-F) Salary: $21.46 – $30.21/hr Applicable Differentials: Up to 2.00/hour – previous experience at a community center in a similar role .75/hour – Bilingual 1.00/hour – Master’s Degre in Human Services 1.00/hour – Advanced licensure Up to 4.00/hour – Tenure with BTCS Why join our team? Credentials | Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a human services field; at least one year of experience in the field of community health care; and comprehensive knowledge of community mental health, substance use, or intellectual developmental disorder resources; demonstrated ability to work autonomously as a member of a team as well as working independently; must demonstrate strong communication and documentation skills; must have a valid Texas driver's license and maintain approved driver’s status throughout employment. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in human services field; licensed or pursuing licensure as an LCSW or LPC; at least one year of experience with justice-based populations; Bilingual. |
