The Employment-Housing Specialist provides services to individuals that have a diagnosed mental illness who are experiencing homelessness, or are at risk of becoming homeless, and who may be unemployed, underemployed, or at risk of becoming unemployed. The Employment-Housing Specialist provides skills training and support that teach a person to obtain and maintaining affordable housing and employment. The Employment-Housing Specialist works with individuals to develop person-centered housing and employment goals that promote housing stability, independent living, wellness, and recovery from mental illness. The work schedule is flexible, and training is provided.

Salary: $20.44 – $27.69/hour

|Credentials||Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, or a related human services field or a bachelor’s degree in any field and course work equivalent to a major in a human services field. Must have Texas Driver’s License and maintain approved driving status throughout employment.|
Preferred Qualifications: Good communication and problem-solving skills, and an aptitude to work with people that have chronic mental illness.
