Working as an LVN in an outpatient setting to help support those children to adults with a behavioral health diagnosis. The nurse will have the opportunity to provide nursing care and assistance to the individuals while building rapport and understanding the whole person and their individual needs. The nurse will assist the individuals with weekly medication boxes and provide medication education and guidance. Under the leadership of the Director of Outpatient Nursing, the Nurse Manager, and the Regional Center Director, this LVN provides support to individuals with psychiatric and or primary care needs in an outpatient clinic. The LVN should possess a positive attitude, a caring spirit and be able to work within an integrated multidisciplinary team. This nurse works alongside and supports other LVNs, Certified Medical Assistants, (CMAs), office support staff, and the prescribing Physicians and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) in the clinic. The LVN will assess vital signs, weight, height, BMI, and update the chart while documenting accordingly in the electronic medical record. The nurse will assist the individual with refills and gain signatures on medical consents. The LVN will be responsible for assisting with phone calls from individuals with concerns and providing education regarding nutrition, medication management, exercise, and diagnosis.
The nurse must be proficient in clinical skills for tasks such as administering injectable medications, performing venipuncture, urine drug screens, pregnancy tests, and other point of care testing in the clinic. The nurse will work closely with the Physicians and NPs during in clinic procedures when needed.
This position will assist in the coordination of the delivery of clinical and nursing care for primary care and behavioral health services and will perform responsible nursing work in the assigned locations.
This position is responsible for the care and treatment of individuals in accordance with accepted professional, legal and ethical nursing standards. This LVN will work in the Bastrop clinic but may cover the Giddings and LaGrange clinics to assist during time off requests. The nurse is responsible for adhering to all agency policies and procedures and reporting to work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
Salary: $22.72 – $24.47/hr

1.Graduated from an accredited school of nursing and hold an unencumbered license as a Licensed
Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state of Texas with at least one-years recent working experience
2. Ability to work collaboratively and be part of a multidisciplinary integrated behavioral health and
primary care professional team.
3. Computer proficiency and working knowledge of Windows/MS office applications and TEAMS.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills
5. Must have and hold a valid Texas Driver’s License throughout employment
