Job Description | The Registered Nurse (RN) will serve as a member of the behavior health outpatient clinic team. This RN will work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide care and support to individuals with psychiatric and mental health illness, substance use disorders and developmental disabilities. This Nursing position performs responsible professional nursing work or professional administrative nursing work in the assigned location in Lockhart. This position is responsible for the care and treatment of individuals in accordance with accepted professional, legal and ethical nursing standards. Primary responsibilities include medication administration and monitoring, laboratory collections and interpretation of lab results, individual and family education regarding medications, health, mental illness, and or substance use, and ongoing assessments of the individual as needed. This RN will clinically supervise Licensed Vocational Nurses and Medical Assistants within the clinic setting. This RN may also complete tasks and duties in the clinic settings as assigned. The RN is responsible for adhering to all agency policies and procedures. This Nurse will be under the supervision and leadership of the Director of Nursing, the Nurse Manager, and the Program Director. This RN must possess an ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and have excellent communication skills. Credentials | Minimum Qualifications: - Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas with an unencumbered license, must have valid Texas driver’s license and maintain approved driver’s status throughout employment.
