Job Description

This Registered Nurse (RN) position performs responsible professional nursing work or professional administrative nursing work in the assigned locations within the Guadalupe HUB.  This position is responsible for the care and treatment of clients in accordance with accepted professional, legal and ethical nursing standards. Primary responsibilities include medication monitoring and administration, individual assessments, laboratory collections and interpretation of lab results, individual and family education regarding medications, health and nutrition, mental illness, and substance use. This position will also be responsible for giving injections, performing venipuncture, administering urine drug screens, and pregnancy tests. The RN is responsible for adhering to all agency policies and procedures. This nursing position will support behavioral health, substance use, developmental disabilities, early childhood, and medicated assisted treatment programs. This position will be responsible for reporting to work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM and may assist in covering other clinics in Gonzales and Seguin as needed and assigned. This RN will be under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Nurse Manager, and the Regional Center Director in the Guadalupe HUB. This applicant must possess an ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team, have excellent communication skills and a caring spirit.

Salary: $37.86 – $44.61/hr

Applicable Differentials:

.75/Bilingual

$1.00 to 4.00/hour Tenure with BTCS

$1.00 to 2.00/hour previous experience at a community center

CredentialsMinimum Qualifications: 1. Graduated from an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas.
2. Ability to work collaboratively and be part of a multidisciplinary professional team.
3. Computer literate with working knowledge of Windows/MS office applications.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills
5. Must have and maintain a valid Texas Driver’s License during employment

Preferred Qualifications: 1. ANCC Psychiatric/Mental Health Certification or CARN certification
2. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, substance use, and mental health
disorders
3. Experience in a psychiatric acute treatment unit, psychiatric outpatient clinic and
or office based opioid treatment center.
4. Bilingual in Spanish
