Job Description

Under the supervision of the Director of Crisis Systems, this mental health professional is a leader on the Northern Hub Crisis Team supporting Williamson & Burnet Counties.  This position is responsible for planning, developing and supervising person-centered and trauma-informed crisis programs at Bluebonnet Trails Community Services.  This position oversees the San Gabriel Crisis Center (SGCC) Respite Unit, the Diversion Center/Extended Observation Unit, the Williamson and Burnet Mobile Crisis Outreach Teams, the Williamson County 9-1-1 Crisis Call Diversion Program. In addition, the Crisis Director provides training for and consultation to community members and other staff, as needed.  The position promotes collaborative professional relationships with community partners to build a network of care to prevent crises and serve individuals in crisis. This leader works closely with internal Bluebonnet Trails program directors to innovate, develop, and enhance program operations.

This position is also responsible for operational oversight to Williamson County crisis programs and budgets.  The Director of Crisis Services will implement strategies to increase revenue and reduce expenses in order to achieve balanced budgets.

Finally, this position is responsible for achieving all state performance contract metrics related to crisis services and follow-up.  This includes (a) monitoring reports, (b) implementing plans of improvement, (c) informing current and developing new policies and procedures, and (d) developing new assessments which capture outcome data.  This position participates in community stakeholder meetings and leads internal meetings to promote continuous quality improvement.

CredentialsMinimum Qualifications: Minimum of five years crisis experience. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and maintain approved driver’s status throughout employment.

Must have skills and experience using integrated computer database programs to access files and document treatment services and the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments.

Masters Degree in Human Services field required
