Job Description | The Administrative Assistant works under the direction and supervision of the Chief Human Resources Officer and is responsible for providing administrative support to the Chief Human Resources Officer in the following areas: management of electronic data entry of all personnel actions via the Personnel Action Form; manages Affordable Care Act (ACA) data in Benefits in Hand (BIH) and regularly monitors eligibility status as required to ensure compliance with the ACA, provides backup support to payroll and benefits administration; supports the staff of Bluebonnet Trails Community Services (BTCS) by managing all matters related to the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) according to state and federal guidelines, to include timely communication, completion and submission of all required documentation in a proactive manner and within stated deadlines; manages all matters related to worker’s compensation benefits according to state guidelines, to include timely completion and submission of all required associated documentation in a proactive manner and within stated guidelines, assists the Chief Human Resources Officer with responses to audits from regulatory entities, during accreditation processes and as requested by the Chief Human Resources Officer; proactively manages the routine sharing of employee data via reports as established by the Chief Human Resources Officer. This position works remotely, but must live in the catchment area for Bluebonnet Trails Community Services (Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Lee, Gonzales, Guadalupe or Williamson County) or surrounding area in Central Texas as on site work may be required. Credentials | Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED and two years’ experience in administrative support, excellent customer service skills, excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills and previous work history demonstrating independence when performing job functions. Demonstration of at least one year of previous experience managing FMLA and Worker’s Compensation reporting. Previous experience with Munis (Tyler Tech). Preferred Qualifications: At least one year of previous experience in Human Resources field, benefits administration, FMLA, Worker’s Compensation and payroll. |
