Job Description | The Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Outreach Coordinator works under the direct supervision of the Director of Training. Primary job duties include the following: develop and manage a coordinated regional plan for delivering Youth MHFA training for school districts in the Bluebonnet Trails Community Services’ service area; establishes cooperative and collaborative partnerships throughout the community to facilitate scheduling and delivering of MHFA trainings; plans, develops, and performs all MHFA training programs; ensures all timelines, reports and requirements are met and submitted to Texas Health and Human Services Commission as outlined in the Statement of Work. This position is also responsible for maintaining the necessary curriculum for MHFA to meet the needs of the communities and is responsible for assisting in collecting and analyzing all data related to MHFA. Work is performed under limited supervision with latitude for initiative and independent judgement. Credentials | Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or other human services field; training and public speaking experience; familiarity with substance use, children’s mental health and developmental issues, as well as adult mental health issues; minimum of three years’ experience performing mental health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment; strong commitment to providing quality, person centered, trauma-informed and recovery oriented behavioral healthcare. Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and maintain approved drivers status throughout employment. Preferred Qualifications: Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA), LPC, LCSW, Licensed Psychologist, or LMFT. |
