Job Description | Under the supervision of the Director of Communications, this position leads the center in achieving re-accreditation and pursuing new accreditations, demonstrating the center’s commitment to service quality and operational excellence. This includes establishing, developing, and supporting practices that make accreditation possible. The position requires knowledge about all aspects of accreditation, including individual standards, where the standards are reflected in our policies and procedures, submission calendars, and reaccreditation processes. The Accreditations Specialist is passionate about helping all members of the organization understand how accreditation and standards apply to them. The role requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments, facilitate group processes, inspire others to complete tasks, and manage tasks with deadlines. The position will work closely with the Quality Management Department to engage in continuous quality improvement processes related to specific accreditation standards which need focused attention with the goal of improving the overall experience of persons seeking services, community members, and staff. Credentials | Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant clinical, social sciences, or public health field 3+ years of experience in a community health setting Experience with behavioral health or healthcare organizations in achieving and maintaining accreditation Experience with writing policies and procedures Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to lead and facilitate group processes Ability to analyze and interpret data Ability to produce documents in Excel, Word and PowerPoint Ability to handle multiple projects and work cooperatively with multiple teams and individuals to develop work plans and time-lined outcomes.
