Additional Perks: As one of the first points of contact with Bluebonnet Trails Community Services (BTCS), the Transitional Services Clinician uses engagement and motivational interviewing expertise to engage persons in person-centered behavioral healthcare services. The position engages with people seeking services in-person and through televideo. This clinician provides Crisis Assessments, hospital follow up appointmentsor Psychiatric Intake Assessments with provisional diagnosis during the scheduled appointment time. The clinician will also conduct or update Person-Centered Recovery Plans, Safety Plans, and Needs and Strengths Assessments with adults and youth at the time of the appointment. Using televideo technology, the clinician may serve persons from any county, linking to appropriate services and BTCS programs. Additionally, the clinician will also coordinate in-person crisis facility aftercare/transition plans from the Diversion Center in Georgetown, TX on assigned days. The Transitional Services Clinician will work in accordance with BTCS and best-practice standards, ethics, and evidence-based interventions. The person in this role possesses a passion and aptitude for working with youth, adults and families who have severe emotional, behavioral, substance use or developmental needs. This position utilizes innovative thinking, patience, skills in engagement, knowledge of person-centered recovery planning, the DSM-5, wellness and recovery-oriented systems of care, and service coordination. This is a Monday – Friday position with working hours generally between 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm. The position reports to the Intake and Counseling Supervisor. Credentials | Minimum Qualifications: Must possess a bachelors degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or a related field from an accredited college or university. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License, meet Bluebonnet Trails Community Services driving requirements, and maintain approved driving status throughout employment. Excellent initiative, organizational skills, time management, and communication skills required. Must also possess skills and experience using integrated computer database programs to access files and document treatment services and the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments. Preferred Qualifications: full licensure as an LCSW, LMFT or LPC. Bilingual in ASL and/or Spanish. Two years working with individuals across the lifespan with severe mental illness. |
