Job Description | Under the supervision of the 988 Quality Management Specialist, the 988 Quality Management Specialist will work directly with the 988 Project Manager, 988 Clinical Manager and program staff to support the implementation and success of the 988 National Suicide Prevention Lifeline project. This position will support the distribution and use of accurate data for this project. This position will support the development of documentation which can demonstrate the call information and metrics related to calls received by the 988 Backup Answering Center. This data may include metric data, staffing, caller demographics, caller suicide experiences, call outcomes, and referrals. Data will be collected for each call to inform the monthly HHSC reporting requirements. This report will be developed and supplied to the BTCS 988 Quality Management Specialist as well as the Development and Monitoring Team to help identify significant trends in the data. This position will support the development of call target status reports which may be used in case staffing, staff supervision, training and team building activities. This position will participate in requested activities to promote quality assurance and network operations. As a member of the Quality Management Team at BTCS, this position will participate in both internal and external auditing processes. This position will support continuous quality improvement activities and will strive to enhance and support a culture of quality at BTCS. This position requires a flexible workday and a person able to work both independently and collaboratively, internally, and externally within the system of care. Credentials | Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in health, social, or business-related fields; demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills; critical thinking skills; demonstrated experience with basic to intermediate excel skills; data sorting, formatting, filtering, analysis, pivoting and manipulation. Preferred Qualifications: Two or more years of experience in a healthcare environment, preferably in a community mental health center, and working knowledge of electronic medical record systems, preferably BH systems. Critical thinking skills: Intermediate Excel skills, analyzing, trending and demonstration of providing recommendations and improvement activities based on data metrics. |
