Job Description

Under the supervision of the 988 Quality Management Specialist, the 988 Quality Management Data Specialist will work directly with the 988 Project Manager, 988 Clinical Manager, QM Manager, UMQM Director and program staff to support the implementation and success of the 988 Lifeline project. This position will support the collection, analysis, trending, interpretation, distribution and use of accurate high-volume data sets received by the 988 Backup Answering Center. This data may include metric data, staffing, caller demographics, caller suicide experiences, call outcomes, and referrals. This position will use and present the data collected to create intuitive and impactful visualizations that effectively communicate key insights, findings and needs, audit call recordings and documentation to support the developments of target status reports, analyze results and formulate causes. The data will be compiled to meet reporting needs and submitted to the BTCS 988 Quality Management Specialist and HHSC monthly to help identify significant trends.

This position will also participate in requested activities to promote quality assurance and network operations. As a member of the Quality Management Department at BTCS, this position will participate in both internal and external auditing processes. This position will support continuous quality improvement activities and will strive to enhance and support a culture of quality at BTCS. This position requires a flexible 8 hour workday Monday – Friday 8:00AM- 5:00PM and a person able to work both independently and collaboratively, internally and externally within the system of care.

This position is remote with opportunities to travel as needed.

Location: Remote; onsite work as needed.

Salary: $21.20 – $25.95/hr

Applicable Differentials:

Up to $2.00/hour – previous experience in a similar role at a community center

$1.00/hour – tenure with BTCS

$1.00/hour – career ladder specialty

.75/hour – Bilingual

CredentialsMinimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in health, social, or business-related fields; demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills; critical thinking skills; demonstrated experience with tested intermediate to advanced excel skills, including, but not limited to data democratization, sorting, formatting, filtering, data cleaning, analysis, pivoting, automation, and manipulation. Must be able to provide work with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data and be comfortable presenting data to program leadership. Detailed oriented, organized, and self-starter. Must have valid Texas driver’s license and maintain approved driving status throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications: Two or more years of experience in a healthcare environment, preferably in a community mental health center, and working knowledge of electronic medical record systems, preferably BH systems. Critical thinking skills, advanced Excel skills, to include knowledge of data analytics, manual or automated scripts, gap analysis, exploratory analysis, data modeling, and interpreting data relationships
