Program Description:

The Bluebonnet Trails Community Services (BTCS) Therapeutic Respite Program for Youth will provide a safe, enriching environment that provides a wraparound approach to offering care coordination, family partner services, and an array of innovative therapies for youth between ages 5-17 years old with behavioral health needs. Evidence-based practices will be implemented in play therapy, sand tray therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy, family therapy, applied behavior analysis, brief-solution focused therapy and more. This 10-bed, 24/7 structured and therapeutic program will focus the following objectives:

Provide culturally sensitive and linguistically diverse services that focus on reunification and development of meaningful relationships.
Provide a safe, supportive, and accepting environment.
Provide services and supports that stabilize, enrich, and develop skills to support effective coping, problem-solving and socialization skills.
Connect and partner with BTCS services and/or community services, supports and other resources that will help the child and family with a successful transition to their home environment.

To meet the above objectives, therapeutic and structured services will be provided that include educational, behavioral, and other recovery and trauma-informed focused activities. The treatment team may include Psychiatrist, and other medical providers, Mental Health Professionals, Family Partners, Teachers, Care Coordinators, and Licensed Therapists.

Length of stay can vary according to individual Wraparound Plans. Eligible children are those at risk of crisis but don’t meet the criteria for hospitalization. Program will accept referrals from Department of Family and Protective Services, Juvenile Justice, school districts or others.

Position Description:

The Program Manager will be responsible for on-site administrative and supervisory duties of the Therapeutic Respite program located in Seguin.  Program Manager will oversee and improve service delivery systems including planning, developing, and implementing respite programming according to program guidelines.

Essential tasks of the Program Manager position are program oversight, to oversee data collection and analysis to be used in programming of services, collaborating with staff to ensure continuity of care for children in services, and assisting with all business and administrative functions within the respite unit. This position reports to the Director of Youth & Family Services.

Salary: $32.69 – $34.62/hr

CredentialsMinimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related human services field preferred.
Experience with state hospital, residential setting, and/or crisis services systems preferred.
Minimum of 2 years experience working with children and adolescents in a behavioral health setting.

Preferred Qualifications: Clinical Licensure Preferred (i.e., LCSW/LPC/LMFT)
Bilingual in Spanish Preferred
