(3019) Professional Development Coordinator – YCOT *INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY*

Job Description

The YCOT+ Professional Development Coordinator (YCOT PDC) works under the direct supervision of the Director of Training. Primary job duties include: Providing child or youth-specific ongoing training to the local MCOT and other grantee direct care staff involved in the implementation of the YCOT+ program, to provide outreach to community partners about the YCOT+ program and services, conducting training for DFPS staff members including trauma-informed care, crisis de-escalation, and training for special populations including but not limited to intellectual or developmental disabilities and autism.

The YCOT PDC will also be responsible for providing assistance and support to the other PDC team member with the provision of new employee orientation to integrated service provider staff that includes, but is not limited to, ANSA/CANS guidelines, service provision and documentation of services; providing ongoing support and training to staff and contractors as needed and requested, coordination of suicide prevention and awareness trainings, clinical trainings on evidenced based curriculums, and generate reports as requested by management staff.

Finally, this position is responsible for the maintenance of accurate training records and the provision of timely reminders to all employees regarding required refresher classes. This position will also research, develop and present innovative elective courses based on the ongoing needs of staff employed by Bluebonnet Trails Community Services.

CredentialsMinimum Qualifications: LPHA status, i.e., independently licensed as a LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist, and one years’ experience in a community center setting. Experience in client rights. Strong communication and computer skills.

Ability to effectively train in a group or individual setting.

Must have valid Texas driver’s license and maintain approved driving status throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications: Trained as a facilitator for MHFA, SAMA, CPR/First Aid, Trauma-informed care certification(s)
