Job Description | This position will include the following responsibilities: conducting screenings and assessments and SUD counseling to adults in an Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment setting. This individual must complete and submit thorough documentation of all services delivered. The counselor will meet as scheduled with other members of the treatment team to coordinate client services. This counselor must be able to comply with all admissions, programming, curriculum, and scheduling guidelines and procedures as instructed along with all crisis intervention and safety protocols of the program. This is a flexible position and the person hired may need to perform services in other clinics, when needed. This position will involve working a maximum of 20 hours per week. Credentials | Minimum Qualifications: Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern (LCDC-I), must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and maintain approved driver’s status throughout employment. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of one year’s experience working in a SUD treatment facility, Bilingual, previous experience with adolescent substance abuse treatment modality, Department of State Health services training in Cannabis Youth Treatment (CYT), Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) and/or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). |
