Our Employment Specialists teach valuable skills and provide ongoing support to help individuals obtain and maintain competitive, integrated employment. Our primary goal is to empower individuals as they develop their potential to work independently and successfully.
Employment Services
Bluebonnet Trails Community Services (BTCS) offers Employment Services to individuals in our Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) and Mental Health programs residing in the following counties: Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Gonzalez, Guadalupe, Lee, and Williamson.
IDD Employment Services
For individuals currently enrolled in BTCS Autism services or Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) programs, the following IDD Employment Services are offered:
Employment Assistance: Employment Assistance services help individuals gain integrated, competitive employment in their communities. Individuals are assessed to identify their strengths, skills, and preferences. The information is used to help individuals find a fit between their strengths and preferences, and jobs in their community, including more suitable employment for individuals already employed.
Supported Employment: Supported Employment services consist of job coaching, skills training, and ongoing support that is provided to an individual at their job site. The goal is to develop natural supports so an individual can work independently and maintain their employment.
Services available in Bastrop Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Gonzalez, Guadalupe, Lee, and Williamson Counties.
Mental Health Employment Services
For individuals currently enrolled in BTCS Mental Health programs, BTCS offers the following:
Supported Employment: Supported Employment services are designed to help individuals overcome the barriers posed by mental illness symptoms that interfere with their ability to make employment choices and to secure and maintain employment. Through skills training and ongoing support, individuals are empowered to develop job search skills, communication skills, and self-advocacy, and establish natural support systems, all aimed at helping the individual achieve their employment goals.
Services are available in Bastrop Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Gonzalez, Guadalupe, Lee, and Williamson Counties.
