Project HOPE (Homeless Outreach Prevention & Engagement)
Everyone deserves to be heard, treated with respect, and supported in finding a safe place to live. Project HOPE helps individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability connect with housing options, care, and practical resources.
Our work begins with listening. We meet people where they are, take time to build trust, and work together on the needs and goals that matter to them. Whether someone needs help finding housing, accessing treatment, replacing identification, or navigating community services, our team helps them take the next step.
Project HOPE Services
Project HOPE serves individuals and families in Williamson, Bastrop, Caldwell, Lee, Fayette, Gonzales, and Guadalupe counties.
Who We Serve
Project HOPE serves individuals and families in Williamson, Bastrop, Caldwell, Lee, Fayette, Gonzales, and Guadalupe counties who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of losing housing. We also help people facing barriers to mental health care, substance use treatment, and other services that support housing stability.
Our team reviews each person’s situation to identify appropriate services. Specific housing and financial assistance options depend on program eligibility, funding, and availability.
How We Help
Community Outreach and Engagement:
Our team connects with people in the community, including those who may have difficulty getting to an office or navigating services on their own. We focus on building relationships, understanding immediate needs, and staying connected as people work toward their goals.

Housing Navigation and Homelessness Prevention:
We help individuals and families explore temporary and permanent housing options, complete applications, gather needed documents, and connect with housing providers. For those at risk of losing housing, we work to identify available resources and practical steps that may help them remain safely housed.

Case Management and Everyday Needs:
Finding stability often involves addressing several challenges at once. Our staff helps people access identification documents, benefits, food, transportation resources, medical care, and employment supports. Together, we develop a plan and follow up on the steps needed to move forward.

Mental Health and Crisis Support:
We help people connect with mental health services and coordinate with BTCS crisis teams when additional support is needed. Our approach recognizes how trauma, stress, and homelessness can affect a person’s well-being and ability to access care.

Substance Use Treatment and Recovery Connections:
We work with BTCS substance use teams and community providers to help people access assessment, withdrawal management, treatment, and recovery supports appropriate to their needs. Our staff helps with referrals and barriers that can make entering or continuing care difficult.

Ongoing Housing Stability:
Support does not end when someone finds housing. We help people build the skills, connections, and routines that support maintaining a home, managing daily needs, and staying connected to care.

Working With Our Communities:
Project HOPE works alongside housing providers, hospitals, law enforcement, EMS, local governments, and community organizations. These partnerships help us reach people who might otherwise go without support and coordinate assistance across our seven-county service area.
