Job Description

Under the direct supervision of the Lead Certified Family Partner, or other designee provides support and advocates for families to assist in engagement, empowerment, self-advocacy, and wellness as they actively participate in recovery. Certified Family partners (CFP) assist families in making informed decisions that drive families toward wellness and recovery. As a supportive partner, the CFP has a strong connection to the community and is knowledgeable about resources, services and supports for families. The CFP’s lived experience is critical to earning respect and establishing trust as they coach and families to find and develop their voice and learn how to use it effectively in their treatment, wellness and recovery. The CFP assists the family in making informed decisions on a routine basis, in crisis and during the Wraparound process.

Duties include:

  • *Conduct home visits.
  • *Mentor parents through encouragement and support.
  • *Role model positive parenting skills and positive advocacy skills.
  • *Provide support groups to families in services at Bluebonnet.
  • *Sit on the wraparound team as the certified family partner to ensure families voices and choice is heard and adhered to.
  • *Share current and future knowledge of trends that support families with others.
  • *Support parents in schools, courts, community, medical and mental health clinics and any child serving system. (This includes but is not limited to attending ARDs, court hearings, doctor’s appointments, social security appointments etc.)
  • *Works in close collaboration with physicians, other treatment team personnel and other community resource agencies.
  • *Works professionally and cooperatively with persons served, their families, and community contacts.

Salary: $17.85 – $23.60/hr

Applicable Differentials:

$0.75/hr Bilingual

up to $2.00/hr, tenure with BTCS

up to 2.00/hr, previous experience at a community center

$200/month service delivery bonus

Must have valid Texas driver’s license and maintain approved driving status throughout employment.
