Job Description

This position is responsible for implementing and providing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children between the ages of 3 and 15 in Autism Services under the supervision of Licensed Behavior Analysts (LBA). This position is part of a team that:

  • Provides direct services in-person and via telehealth
  • Conducts assessments that are used to develop effective treatment plans and goals that align with DSM V criteria and remediation of ASD symptoms
  • Implements interventions in natural environments such as home, community, and school
  • Uses data collection to evaluate treatment programming and progress
  • Provides parent training
  • Collaborates with school district personnel and other clinical staff members serving the client

This position will maintain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) status. Job responsibilities require the following: traveling within designated service area, flexible hours and schedule, the ability to work with families and sensitivity to various cultural differences, meeting productivity requirements, and meeting deadlines. The personnel will provide services in accordance with standards and billing guidelines established by the HHSC Children’s Autism Program and BTCS.

**This position has the opportunity to earn $200 per month for exceeding service delivery expectations.

The ideal candidate is proficient in Excel skills, has excellent attention to detail, and will have strict adherence to state and Center guidelines.

Salary:

Part-Time: $23.89 – $29.64/hr

Full-Time: $19.38 – $24.13/hr

Applicable Differentials:

$1.00/hr Master’s degree in relevant field

$0.75/hr Bilingual

Up to $4.00/hr BTCS Tenure

CredentialsMinimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma and experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License and maintain approved driver’s status throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications: Comprehensive knowledge of typical and atypical development in children and youth ages 3-15.
Comprehensive knowledge of and understanding of family and team dynamics.
Ability to contributes as a leader and facilitator on teams which include parents, caregivers, and other professional staff.
Ability to perform under minimal supervision with considerable requirements for initiative, discretion, independent thought, judgement, and sell-motivation in matters of significance to families as well as the agency.
Well-developed interpersonal skills, oral and writing communication skills, time management/organizational skills, and basic computer skills.
Ability to independently conduct discussions and formulate recommendations which commit the agency financially.
Ability to work sensitively with families from a variety of cultural orientations.
Preferred: ability to speak, read, and write Spanish fluently.
