| Job Description | Youth Therapeutic Respite Program (YTRP) provides a safe and welcoming environment for youth and families experiencing a crisis that may be remedied through professional guidance and support. Offering short-term 24-hour respite, for up to 30 days, the program serves children and adolescents between the ages of 5-17 and their families Participants receive wraparound care including innovative therapies, care coordination, family partner services, case management, psychiatric evaluation, medication management and more. Our Mission is to continuously improve the health and independence of the persons we serve, and the Youth Therapeutic Respite Program provides critical access to care for youth and families who are experiencing a crisis, wanting to prevent a crisis, or stabilizing after a hospitalization. Critical Impact: This position provides the important role of intensive case management and skills training to children ages 5-17 and their families who are receiving services in the Youth Therapeutic Respite Program. This position provides skilling training to youth in individual and group settings. This professional is a key member in the assessment and collaboration with individuals served and their parent/LAR to develop recovery plans. Additionally, the Wraparound Facilitator is a part of and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team and contractors on to maintaining Youth Therapeutic Respite Program’s essential operations, including during emergencies and disasters. The Wraparound Facilitator must possess an aptitude for working both independently and collaboratively. Key Responsibilities:
Schedule: Wednesday – Saturday 8 am – 6 pm. Requires rotation into Kids Night Out programming. As a 24/7 residential program, this position is considered Essential and is part of an interdisciplinary team that coordinates schedules to ensure the youth on the unit are served and cared for during holidays and disasters. | Credentials | Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a social, behavioral, or human service field. Knowledge of mental illness as defined in the DSM-V services to promote wellness and recovery to individuals with mental illness is required. Ability to contribute as a leader and facilitator on teams which include parents, caregivers, and other professional staff. Well-developed interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, time management/organization skills, and basic computer skills. Ability to independently conduct discussions and formulate recommendations which commit the agency financially Ability to work sensitively with families from a variety of cultural orientations. Ability to perform under minimal supervision with considerable requirements for initiative, discretion, independent thought, judgment and self-motivation in matters of significance to families as well as the agency.
