(291) Customer Service Representative

Job Description

This position is responsible for completing all IDD provider billing, quarterly client interest list contacts, as well as clerical support to ensure efficient unit operations. The role requires a high level of professionalism and interacts daily with individuals, families, staff, and partner agencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Billing Support Functions:
    • Reviewing contractor documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to billing submission
    • Entering billing data into appropriate systems
    • Assisting with data claims, submission and tracking of utilization
    • Communicating with contacts regarding missing or incomplete documentation
    • Supporting reconciliation of billed services as requested
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties including data entry, running reports, sending/receiving written correspondence, and uploading documentation to the electronic health record.
  • Complete client interest list contacts and all required service documentation
  • Utilize multiple agency systems, including CARE, SmartCare, CSIL, and other related platforms.
  • Maintain and organize clinical and administrative records in accordance with agency policies and confidentiality requirements.
  • Answer and route phone calls in a courteous, professional, and helpful manner.
  • Provide support for special projects and complete other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals, families, and partner agencies.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Intermediate Excel and Microsoft Word software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Proficiency in general office equipment and computer systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.

 

Location: In person position in any county listed: Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Lee or Williamson Counties

Hourly Salary Range: $17.30 – $19.05

Differential Detail:

  • $0.75/hour – Bilingual
  • $1.00/hour – Tenure with BTCS
  • $1.00/hour -Career ladder specialty
  • Up to $2.00/hour – previous experience with a community center in a similar

CredentialsMinimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to work with clients, families, and staff with patience, professionalism, and compassion.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with contracted providers and various internal teams.
Strong attention to detail and a high degree of numerical accuracy.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications at a moderate level.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workspace and tasks proactively.
Ability to follow both oral and written instructions.
Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective in a fast paced or high volume environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous LMHA/LIDDA experience.
Previous billing experience.
Bilingual English/Spanish.
Salary Amount$35,984.00 – $39,624.00/year
