Position Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Specialty Programs and the Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) Service Manager, the Intensive Family Therapist provides intensive, community-based therapeutic services to youth and families utilizing the evidence-based MST model. Services are delivered in home, school, clinic, and community settings with the goal of reducing high-risk behaviors, improving family functioning, and preventing placement in more restrictive levels of care. This position receives comprehensive paid training in the MST model and ongoing clinical supervision and consultation to support fidelity to the treatment approach. The Intensive Family Therapist works collaboratively with youth, caregivers, natural supports, and community partners to develop individualized, strengths-based interventions that promote long-term success and stability. | Credentials | Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in clinical or counseling psychology, social work and/or marriage and family is required. Provisionally licensed as an LPC-Associate, LMSW (under clinical supervision) or LMFT-Associate. Must have valid Texas driver’s license and maintain approved drier’s status throughout employment. Preferred Qualifications: Fully licensed as an LPC, LCSW or LMFT, or in clinical supervision towards advanced licensure. 2 years’ experience post graduate experience working in a clinical setting, which at least one year includes working with families. Bilingual preferred. |
