Under the supervision of the Williamson County Assistant Director of Crisis Services or designee, the Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) Case Worker is a member of the Williamson County Crisis Team, providing services in-person and via televideo in Williamson and Burnet Counties.
The MCOT Case Worker will dispatch to various community locations (i.e. schools, emergency rooms, homes and BTCS clinics) to provide crisis intervention, screening, referral, relapse prevention and follow-up services. Follow-up services may include case management, individual and group skills training, Person-Centered Recovery Planning, supported housing/employment, discharge planning and linkage to ongoing services.
Additionally, the MCOT Case Worker will provide crisis triage and intervention services at the San Gabriel Crisis Center where BTCS operates a Crisis Walk-In Center, Diversion Center and Crisis Respite Unit.
This position collaboratively partners with law enforcement, the medical community, schools, families, and social service agencies to assist persons in crisis. The MCOT Case Worker must possess strong knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques and practices of working with individuals experiencing a mental health, substance use, and/or developmental crisis, and must have the ability to communicate effectively with persons and families from diverse cultures and socio-economic backgrounds. The MCOT QMHP must have skills and experience using integrated computer database programs to access files and document services, as well as the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments. This position requires a flexible work schedule and the ability to work independently, yet collaboratively.
This position requires rotating on-call responsibilities.

Minimum of two years case management experience required. Must have skills and experience using integrated computer database programs to access files and document services, as well as the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License.
*If degree is not in a human services field, a minimum of 24 college credits in a human services field are required.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree; pursuing clinical licensure in counseling, social work or a related field.
Bilingual in ASL or Spanish preferred; experience in providing concurrent documentation preferred.
