Job Description | Diversion Center provides 24/7 access to immediate crisis assessment and intervention services in a facility-based setting. Diversion Center’s primary referral sources are local law enforcement, emergency departments, and other behavioral health first responders. The core components of a crisis continuum are somewhere to call, someone to respond, and a place to go. The Bluebonnet Trails innovative Diversion Center model is highlighted within the “Best Practice in Planning and Implementing Diversion Centers” and “Planning for Diversion: A Texas Diversion Center Workbook” developed by the Texas Behavioral Health and Criminal Justice Technical Assistance Center. Our Vision is Healthy and Fulfilled Lives, and the Diversion Center offers an interdisciplinary team of Behavioral Health Technicians, Bachelors and Masters Level Clinicians, Licensed Clinicians, Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, and Psychiatrists supporting adults in crisis through evaluation and assessment, medication management, safety planning, and care coordination. Our Mission is to continuously improve the health and independence of the persons we serve, and the Diversion Center provides critical access to care to stabilize a crisis while diverting individuals from jail, emergency rooms, and hospitalization. Critical Impact: At its core, the Diversion Center provides an option for expedited access to immediate behavioral health treatment, with a focus on pre-arrest jail diversion and recidivism reduction. The Diversion Center Licensed Clinician provides clinical care to individuals on the unit, including intake, assessment, treatment planning, discharge planning, and safety planning. Additionally, the Licensed Clinician collaborates with the interdisciplinary team and contractors on to maintaining Diversion Center’s essential operations, including during emergencies and disasters. The Licensed Clinician must possess an aptitude for working both independently and collaboratively. Cross-training to support other crisis programs, including Crisis Respite Unit, Mobile and Youth Crisis Outreach Team, and Youth Therapeutic Respite is required. Key Responsibilities:

Credentials | Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of two years crisis/case management experience. Clinical licensure is required (Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Psychologist). Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and maintain approved driver’s status throughout employment. Must have skills and experience using integrated computer database programs to access files and document treatment services and the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments.
