(1777) Therapist

Job Description

This position is fitting for therapists working towards licensure or fully licensed clinicians.

The Therapist provides therapy and case management for the ClearPath Early Onset Psychosis Program. ClearPath is a program designed to meet the needs of people with an early onset of psychosis.

The ClearPath program makes a significant and lasting positive impact in the community and helps youth and adults regain the hope and skills needed to build bright futures. Like other chronic health conditions, the sooner symptoms are identified, and a treatment program is put into action, the more likely it is for a person’s overall condition and health status to improve. ClearPath case load size is 20-30 individuals, ages 15–30, who are interested in actively participating in treatment and have been diagnosed with a psychotic disorder within the past two years within our service area. The Therapist provides mental health services to individuals on their caseload in accordance with evidence-based therapy models and individual needs.

The model is team-based and provides comprehensive treatment and support services to keep people on the path to recovery. Therapists are effective in trauma informed and person-centered therapeutic interventions, as well as motivational interviewing. The ClearPath model takes a systemic approach to treatment; therefore, therapy and case management services are inclusive of the individual’s family and/or natural supports. Therapists conduct strength-based needs assessments and provide psychoeducation, focusing on stress management, self-regulation strategies, recovery, skill building, and connecting our participants and families with the services and supports in their communities.

In addition, the Therapist will facilitate group and individual therapy. Compassion and communication are skills necessary in order to serve families with the support and resources needed. This position is one part of a multidisciplinary team. Services are provided in home, community and clinic settings within the county based on a flexible schedule. There are no on-call or weekend expectations for this position.
