Job Description | The person in this position is responsible for the delivery intake services to children and adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses, as defined by the state authority. The person in this position will provide mental health intake assessments, diagnosis, and brief intervention services, coordination of services, development of recovery plans, linkage to resources and referrals, and completion of crisis assessments as needed. This position is required to submit documentation of services delivered in accordance with individual need and Medicaid standards. The person in this position should enjoy working with individuals face-to-face and have an aptitude for working with children and adults who have diagnoses of bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder as well as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder and other psychotic disorders. This position requires knowledge and skills in assessment, collaborative person-centered recovery, differential diagnosis, community resources, cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as wellness and recover-oriented systems of care. The person in this position will work in accordance with best-practice, person-centered standards, license requirements, ethics, and evidence-based interventions. Credentials | Minimum Qualifications: Licensure by the State of Texas as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or licensure by the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or current licensure by the State of Texas as a licensed clinical psychologist. The candidate will be credentialed through Bluebonnet Trails Community Services. Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and maintain approved driver’s status throughout employment.
