Job Description | Under the supervision of the Williamson County Crisis Coordinator, the QMHP is a member of the Williamson County Crisis Team at the Extended Observation Unit (EOU) . This position will provide a combination of authority functions within the Crisis Center and the community, to include crisis intervention and follow up services, relapse and prevention, screening and referrals to community resources and providers. To those residing in the voluntary unit of the EOU, the QMHP assists in providing case management, individual and group skills training and/or psychosocial interventions in addition to the completing intake protocols, development of treatment plans and discharge planning in an environment that is designed to provide a safe and secure environment for short-term stabilization of behavioral health symptoms. This position will also be able to aid in the treatment of those residing in the involuntary unit as needed. This position will be able to partner with law enforcement, the medical community, schools, families, and social services agencies in a collaborative effort to assist persons in crisis. The individual must possess strong knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques and practices of working with individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis within the community, the walk-in clinic, and the voluntary respite unit and have the ability to communicate effectively with diverse cultures and socio-economic populations. Must have skills and experience using integrated computer database programs to access files and document treatment services and the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments. This position requires a flexible work day and person able to work both independently and collaboratively. Position may need to work a variable schedule that may include weekend and evening shifts. Shifts are offered PRN (as needed) and there is no guarantee of a minimum number of hours offered. Salary: $31.60 – $33.35/hr Applicable Differentials: Bilingual: $.75/hour |
