Job Description | Under the supervision of the Mobile Crisis Outreach Team Program Manager or designee, the Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) Crisis Case Manager is a member of the Northern Hub Crisis Team, providing services in- person and via televideo in Williamson and Burnet Counties. This position is located on-site at the clinics within Williamson and Burnet counties. The MCOT Crisis Case Manager is an essential, mobile provider of crisis services for all children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a behavioral health crisis regardless of residency status, diagnosis, veteran status, or ability to pay. All MCOT services are community-based and available 24 hours per day, every day of the year. The Crisis Case Manager dispatches to the location of the individual experiencing a behavioral health crisis, including schools, emergency rooms, homes, and BTCS clinics, to provide crisis intervention, screening, referral, relapse prevention, and follow-up services. Follow-up services may include case management, individual and group skills training, Person-Centered Recovery Planning, supported housing/employment, discharge planning and linkage to ongoing services. The MCOT Crisis Case Manager utilizes the most effective and least restrictive approaches and interventions until the crisis is resolved or the individual is transitioned into a more clinically appropriate environment. Cross-training is completed to provide crisis triage and intervention services as needed at the Youth Therapeutic Respite Program, Crisis Respite Unit, and the Diversion Center. The Crisis Case Manager will support a small crisis follow up caseload. This position collaborates with law enforcement, the medical community, schools, families, and social service agencies to assist persons in crisis. The Crisis Case Manager must possess strong knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques, and practices of working with individuals experiencing a mental health, substance use, and/or developmental crisis. They must communicate effectively with people and families from diverse cultures and socio-economic backgrounds. The crisis Case Manager must have skills and experience using integrated computer database programs to access files and document services and the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments. This position requires a flexible work schedule and the ability to work independently yet collaboratively. This position requires rotating on-call responsibilities, including after-hours, weekends, and holidays. A daily stipend is offered for each day of on-call. Credentials | Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a human services field, comprehensive knowledge of mental health diagnoses, ability to work as a team member within a fast-paced, recovery-focused environment is essential to this position. A minimum of two years of case management experience is required. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License and maintain approved driver’s status throughout employment. *If the degree is not in a human services field, a minimum of 24 college credits in a human services field are required. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree; pursuing clinical licensure in counseling, behavior analysis, family therapy, social work or a related field; Licensure as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC); Bilingual in ASL or Spanish preferred; experience in providing concurrent documentation preferred. |
