Under the supervision of the Director/Assistant Director of Substance Use Services and SUD Office Manager this position provides exceptional customer service while performing clerical, billing, collection, and reimbursement duties to support front office operations.

These duties include, but are not limited to:

o Answering the phone courteously and cheerfully.

o Communicating with clients, peers, co-workers, and supervisory staff in a professional manner.

o Ability to explain services to a client who may be experiencing emotional distress, recent substance use, or substance use withdrawal symptoms.

o Completing financial reviews to include verification of insurance coverage and benefits.

o Counseling persons and families on copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and any applicable Monthly Ability to Pay (MAP) fees.

o Navigating multiple electronic health records (EHR).

o Scanning documents into the EHR(s).

o Scheduling/Rescheduling/Confirming appointments.

o Processing collections on accounts.

o Establishing payment plans to resolve account balances.

o Assist in doing research on client information for new clients prior to enrolling into EHR(s).

o Review billing from multiple EHRs for clients with insurance or Medicaid and finding any billing issues while client is currently in services.

o Supporting team members during outages or when experiencing high calm volumes in a professional manner. o Attending Team Meetings

Salary: $19.16 – $23.41/hr

CredentialsMinimum Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma
2. Experience in office and clerical functions.
3. Experience in coding, billing, and expense reporting.
4. Ability to operate Microsoft Office products with proficiency.
5. Must be able to learn how to input information into an electronic health record.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a clinical/medical office setting. Bilingual in Spanish and/or ASL preferred.
