Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team in a vital front office role. This position offers the opportunity to deliver outstanding service while performing a variety of essential clerical, billing, and reimbursement tasks to support our office operations. Key responsibilities include answering phones with a friendly and professional demeanor, conducting financial reviews (including insurance verification), advising patients and families on insurance details such as copays, coinsurance, and deductibles, and assisting with Monthly Ability to Pay (MAP) fees.

In this role, you will also scan documents into our electronic health records, manage appointment scheduling, greet and check in patients (both virtually and in-person), process collections, and help set up payment plans to resolve account balances. You’ll be expected to interact with patients, families, and agencies in a professional, approachable, and efficient manner, all while maintaining an organized and clean workspace.

Salary: $17.30 – $22.05/hr

Applicable Differentials:

.75/hour Bilingual

1.00/hour – Career Ladder Specialty

1.00/hour – Tenure with BTCS

Up to 2.00/hour – previous experience at a community center in a similar role

CredentialsMinimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalency; knowledge of Excel and Word, record keeping, good organizational skills. Must have valid Texas driver’s license and maintain approved driver’s status throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual in Spanish; Experience working with individuals with Mental Health needs; Knowledge in insurance and payment collections preferred.
