Job Description | Under the supervision of the Regional Director and the Director of Outpatient Nursing, the Registered Nurse (RN) Manager position is responsible for providing clinical supervision, direction, and oversight to RNs, LVNs and CMAs within the Cedar Park and Marble Falls clinical locations. This RN Manager will be responsible for training and delegation in relation to monitoring the medication rooms, medication refill line, and following medication orders. The person chosen for this position will provide supervision to the nursing staff in delivering education to individuals and families to assist in maintaining stability in the community, and will ensure clinical flow, medication inventory, testing and equipment supplies meet standards of the center and regulations. The RN Manager must be able to perform other nursing duties such as venipuncture, injections, vital signs, urine drug screening, pregnancy testing and other point of care testing ordered by the physician or NP. Other responsibilities include medication monitoring and administration, individual assessments, laboratory collections and interpretation of lab results, individual and family education regarding medications, health and nutrition, mental illness, medical diagnosis, substance use, and developmental disabilities. The RN Manager will assist in the coordination of the delivery of clinical care for Behavioral Health services and will perform responsible professional nursing work or professional administrative nursing work in the assigned locations. This position is responsible for the care and treatment of individuals in accordance with accepted professional, legal and ethical nursing standards. This RN Manager is responsible for adhering to all agency policies and procedures and report to work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. This RN will assist with tasks and duties to support the Cedar Park and Marble Falls clinics due to staffing vacancies, time off or scheduled trainings with transportation provided. This RN must be able to work within a multi-disciplinary team, have excellent communication skills, possess positive leadership and team building skills and be flexible during the work week. Location: Cedar Park and Marble Falls Salary: $39.88 – $44.63/hr Applicable Differentials: Up to $2.00/hour – previous experience at a community center in a similar role .75/hour – Bilingual $1.00/hour – Psychiatric Certification $1.00/hour – Tenure with BTCS Why join our team? Credentials | Minimum Qualifications: 1. Graduated from an accredited school of nursing and have an unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas with at least 2 years’ recent nursing experience. 2. At least 2 years’ supervisory experience 3. Ability to work collaboratively and be part of a multidisciplinary professional team. 4. Computer literate with working knowledge of Windows/MS office applications. 5. Excellent written and oral communication skills 6. Must have and maintain a valid Texas Driver’s License during employment and maintain approved driver’s status throughout employment. Preferred Qualifications: 1. ANCC Psychiatric/Mental Health or CARN nursing certifications 2. Experience working in psychiatric settings, with individuals with developmental disabilities, and or substance use disorders 3. Bilingual in Spanish or ASL |
